The mainstream path of a classical singer involves:
  • Learning/performing operatic roles
  • Singing in choirs
  • Winning competitions
  • Giving concerts
All these I have done, and I daresay loved. 

My real interest, however, lies in projects that push the boundaries of where and how music can be performed. I like the idea that classical music can infiltrate the world beyond the concert hall, and I'm looking for ways to make that happen. A few spectacular things I've had the privilege to be involved in are:

Creating an in-theatre cabaret and musical curation for Entity Theatre, e. V.'s production of Chekhov's The Bear and The Jubilee.

Arranging music for/directing The Wizard of Oz at Pushp Niketan School in Dhampur, India, with about 60 children, all of whom were performing an English-language play for the first time.

Serenading unsuspecting dancers at the Hackney Tango.

Luring boaters with a siren's call to the fabulous Floating Futures forest along the canals at festivals around London, this coming summer- with The Kindest Group.
